Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis is set to star in "Fathers and Daughters" opposite Russell Crowe and Diane Kruger after finishing the film adaptation of the musical "Annie," where she plays the title role, Deadline reported.
Based on the 2012 Black List script by Brad Desch, the story "Fathers And Daughters" revolves around a father and his daughter, who is working in a psychiatric clinic, living 25 years apart in New York City.
Known for his films "The Last Kiss," "Seven Pounds" and "The Pursuit of Happyness," Gabriele Muccino will be helming the film.
Joining Wallis, Kruger and Crowe in the "Fathers And Daughters" cast are "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul and "A Million Ways To Die In The West" star Amanda Seyfried as well as Jane Fonda, Ryan Eggold, Haley Bennett, Octavia Spencer, Janet McTeer and Bruce Greenwood among others.
Aside from "Annie" and "Fathers And Daughters," Wallis is also set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran.
Crowe also stars in his directorial debut "The Water Diviner," where he plays an Australian man who travels to Turkey to find his three missing sons four years after the Battle of Gallipoli, First Showing reported.
Written by Andrew Anastasios and Andrew Knight, "The Water Diviner" also stars Daniel Craig's "Quantum Of Solace" co-star Olga Kurylenko, Jai Courtney, Isabel Lucas, Jacqueline McKenzie, Damon Herriman, Cem Yilmaz, Ryan Corr and Deniz Akdeniz among others.
Set to be released on Dec. 26 in Australia, "The Water Diviner" is yet to have an official release date in the United States.
Meanwhile, Kruger was recently spotted wearing a striped mini-skirt and a polka-dot tank top while leaving the Taco Bell in West Hollywood, Daily Mail reported.
"Dawson Creek" star Joshua Jackson's 38-year-old girlfriend also stars in the FX network's hit drama series "The Bridge" opposite Demian Bichir.
The 13-episode second season of "The Bridge" recently ended on Oct. 1, Wednesday.
